A 25-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly robbed and raped a male pensioner at his home in Bushbuckridge in Mpumalanga.
Police spokesperson Brigadier Selvy Mohlala said the 62-year-old man claimed that the alleged robber entered his home at Ga-Motibidi around 20:30 on Monday.
“He then noticed a suspect known to him entering his room and he asked him what he wanted.
The suspect then allegedly grabbed the victim and pushed him to the bed and raped him,” Mohlala said.
The man fled the scene with money belonging to the elderly man. Mohlala said he was later traced and arrested.
